Tara plays with dimensions within her works pushing forward conceptions of reality with the use of collaging old painting and photography techniques together into sculpture, paintings, and installation.

" I am trying to push the processes of my elders further by demonstrating what it’s like to be a millennial in love with nature." 

Tara Walters earned her B.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2016, just after attending SCAD’s residency program in Lacoste, France.  In 2012 she attended the Cloud Club residency in Boston, MA. Just before graduation Walters exhibited in a collaboration at the Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Conneticut. After graduation, Walters showed at two international art fairs Texas Contemporary and Miami Project. Walters has participated in exhibitions throughout Savannah, GA, Columbia, MD, Boston, MA, Memphis, TN, and Lacoste, France. As well as solo exhibitions in Nashville, TN. Walters is a part of the Nashville, Tennessee’s permanent collection where her piece, Gold Member, hangs in the Mayor’s office.

Walters moved to Los Angeles, California in September 2018.
